Second, we determine the type of data needed to answer that question.

What do I mean by type of data? Data can be quantitative, e.g., how satisfied are your employees and how is that correlated with them being committed to your company? Data can be qualitative, e.g., what is it that makes your employees satisfied and why are they committed to your company?

Third, we collect data which is followed by data cleaning and management procedures.

Next, I analyze the data using qualitative and/or quantitative research methods.

Finally, you have a profound base to answer the initial question and make informed decisions.
